Chopta Tungnath

The Chopta–Tungnath trek offers a mesmerizing journey through the stunning landscapes of the Garhwal region in Uttarakhand, India. This trek beautifully combines the charm of Chopta, the spiritual significance of Tungnath and Chandrashila, and the tranquility of Deoriatal Lake into one captivating adventure.

Starting from the picturesque hill station of Chopta, often referred to as the “Mini Switzerland of India,” trekkers ascend through dense forests adorned with rhododendron and oak trees. Along the way, they are treated to breathtaking views of snow-capped peaks and lush green meadows.

The highlight of the trek is the Chandrashila Summit, standing tall at an altitude of approximately 3,680 meters (12,073 feet). From the summit, trekkers are rewarded with panoramic views of the majestic Himalayan range, including prominent peaks such as Nanda Devi, Trishul, and Chaukhamba.
