The Kedarkantha Trek is one of the most popular and picturesque winter treks in India, attracting adventurers from across the country and beyond. Nestled in the pristine Himalayan ranges of Uttarakhand, this trek offers a perfect blend of scenic beauty, cultural richness, and thrilling adventure, captivating both novice and experienced trekkers.
Rising to an altitude of 12,500 feet, the Kedarkantha summit rewards trekkers with panoramic views of snow-draped peaks, dense forests, and charming villages, making it a journey worth every step.
Day 1 - Dehradun To Sankri
- Drive Distance: ~200 km | Duration: 8–9 hours
- Altitude: 2,000 m / 6,400 ft
- Stay: Guesthouse / Homestay in Sankri
- Meals: Dinner
- Start early from Dehradun. Enjoy a scenic drive along the Yamuna and Tons rivers, passing through Mori and Purola.

Day 2 - Sankri To Juda-Ka-Talab
- Trek Distance: ~4 km | Duration: 3–4 hours
- Altitude: 6,400 ft → 9,100 ft
- Stay: Campsite at Juda-ka-Talab
- Meals: Breakfast, Packed Lunch, Tea + Snacks, Dinner
- Begin the trek with a gradual ascent through dense pine forests. Juda-ka-Talab is a serene high-altitude lake surrounded by snow
- Short and scenic forest trail
- Frozen lake (in winter), perfect campsite setting

Day 3 - Juda-Ka-Talab To Kedarkantha Base Camp
- Trek Distance: ~4 km | Duration: 4–5 hours
- Altitude: 9,100 ft → 11,250 ft
- Stay: Campsite at Base Camp
- Meals: Breakfast, Packed Lunch, Tea + Snacks, Dinner
- Trek through oak and pine forests with occasional clearings and snowy stretches (seasonal).
- Snow trail (in winter) & views of the summit ridge
- Panoramic Himalayan landscapes

Day 4 - Summit Kedarkantha & Return To Juda-Ka-Talab
- Trek Distance: ~6 km | Duration: 6–7 hours (Round trip)
- Altitude: 11,250 ft → 12,500 ft → 9,100 ft
- Stay: Campsite at Juda-ka-Talab
- Meals: Breakfast, Packed Lunch, Tea + Snacks, Dinne
- Start early for a steep climb to the Kedarkantha summit. Enjoy grand views of snow-capped peaks—Swargarohini, Black Peak, and Gangotri ranges. Descend back to Juda ka-Talab
- Sunrise summit (weather permitting)
- 360° Himalayan views from the top

Day 5 - Juda-Ka-Talab To Sankri + Drive To Dehradun
- Trek Distance: ~4 km | Trek Duration: 2 hours
- Drive Distance: ~200 km | Drive Duration: 8 hours
- Meals: Breakfast
- A short descent through the same forest trail takes you back to Sankri. After breakfast, drive back to Dehradun via Mori and Purola.
- Final forest descent and farewell to trek
- Scenic drive back to the plains
- Mobile Network: unavailable at Sankri and throughout most of the drive (Jio/BSNL)
- Note: Expected arrival in Dehradun is around 7:30–8:30 PM. Plan onward travel accordingly.
- Important Note In case of any unforeseen changes to the itinerary—such as due to landslides, road blockages, medical emergencies, or weather-related disruptions—additional charges may apply for alternate arrangements like transport, stay, or route adjustments.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE
- Age: 7 Years.
- First timer can apply; previous trekking experience is more appreciated.
- The trekker must be fit and have sufficient stamina to cover 4 km of distance in 35 minutes without a stress.
- Maximum age depends on your fitness level
- The climber should be able to carry a 10-12 kg backpack.
